Surfing the ragged waves of US 60’s Garage and resurrecting the energy from the British Freakbeat scene circa 65/66, Velvet Tuxedo offers sounds that risk turning you away from the standard pop charts to delve deep into a record store’s “rare finds” box in search of something best played in a cloud of purple haze.
Formed in the summer of ‘23, the band have already made a name for themselves on the vibrant local music scene. A recent packed-out headline gig at the famous Polar Bear Music Club showcased the band’s ability to turn a crowd on and keep them tuned in. Gig goers to VT shows state they have not heard another band like them - old is merged with new in a way even veteran “scenesters” say is fresh.
