DJ Allan Ostler AKA Funky Zone & DJ Explosive…. was born and raised in Hull.

Allan played a big part in Hull’s legendary pirate radio station - Twilight FM in the 90s…He was one of the station owners and had his own weekend show.

Allan is an established and experienced club and radio DJ now for over 35 years.

Allan became a local favourite DJ by playing many of Hull’s legendary late-night venues - to name just a few: Oasis nightclub, Welly Club, KU2, Pepis Marina and Bar 69 George Street.

Allan is also one of the owners and resident DJ of Hulls 90’s dance anthem events - We Need Some Love Hull

Allan started DJing in 1990 playing hardcore/rave dance music known as DJ Destruction, his music changed style mid 90’s having a regular weekend slot on Hull’s Twilight FM and began playing funky vocal house music to be known as DJ Funky Zone.
